What is a good entry level home theater receiver with HDMI?

I'm looking for an entry level home theater receiver. I'm not an audiophile and I don't need something great. My only requirement is that I want it to have real HDMI audio conversion capabilities – not HDMI passthrough.

I was looking at the Onkyo TX-SR576 which runs about 0. But I also don't know what else is out there or what is a good value.

Is this a good option? Are there other things to consider?
