What do I need to put together a video conferencing room?

I'm putting together a room in my house above my home office for this sort of thing. I want it to be nice though, and it can be a bit expensive. Please help! All I can find is companies to do it for me, I want to do it myself.
I could use msn messenger…but there has to be a more professional way to do it. The cisco is looking good, but there are so many options I dont know what to get.
