Thats said, why on earth would you choose Bose? They are highly overpriced for relatively mediocre sound. You can do MUCH better for the same money. See the link for further info.

Note that to get the full audio benefit of the DDP-S550 (which has internal decoders for advanced audio formats on Blu-ray) you need a receiver with HDMI input, or at a minimum optical/digital coax, to handle the high bitrate multichannel audio. And, speakers need to be very good quality. For that, forget Bose (the only thing they bring is small size in exchange for poor midrange) and look to almost any other brand. See the 2nd link for some suggestions.</description>
