Playing computer sound on surround sound home theater system?

I’m going to get Panasonic SC-HT940 Deluxe 5 DVD HomeTheater System with my lcd TV. If I connect computer on this system and play 1080p movie trailer will it play hifi sounds? Also games or sound that has surround sound if I play in computer will it play in surround sound on the system?
