No sound coming from my subwoofer on my Home Theater Surround System?

I picked up a used surround sound system and all the speakers work but the subwoofer doesn’t put out any sound. Is this maybe something that can be fixed easily. I didn’t put but in it. Cheap fix or not worth my time?
