My itunes wont sync with my iphone. HELP! ?

When i plug it in it makes the sound that it’s connected but iTunes doesn’t come up to sync my iphone. When i open itunes it says that this iphone can’t be used because the apple mobile device service is not started. im so confused and when i download a song on my itunes on my iphone it tells me too log in too i tuns on my compute too Finnish downloading this is really pissing me off HELP!
