Lexmark Optra m410 – A Smart Decision For The Office
The Lexmark Optra M410 is much like any other laser printer outwardly. In fact, the only difference that can be remarked upon is its height. This is considerably taller than most, which can make for easier operation if positioned on a low cabinet next to the desk. What also helps with its practicality is the slight reduction in depth of the product, allowing it to be more flush with the lines of the other furniture. The printer works best with Lexmark Optra m410 toner.
Whilst relatively heavy at 40 pounds, it is surprisingly easy to move around. A single person should be able to cope without having to shout across the office for help. When having a rearrangement, or moving the Lexmark Optra M410 for maintenance, cleaning, or replacement of toner cartridge this could be a real plus for the owner. With an excellent control panel, and simple to use design, this really is a good product which will stand the test of time.
To set up the product, including installing all software and loading the toner should take no more than about fifteen or twenty minutes. Once set up, it is easy to get started with your printing too. The operating panel clearly displays a status summary for quick reference, whether ready to print, being out of paper, or the job selected.
The standard tray provided is capable of holding up to 350 sheets of standard letter paper. Feeding from the tray is smooth, though for those times when a tear causes a jam, the easy to read display points you to the error swiftly. The cabinet design is well thought, with wide opening doors allowing for easy access to the drum, and other problem areas.
Whilst resolution in printing has moved on considerably over the years, the quality produced by the Lexmark Optra M410 is very high. Printing in monochrome, an output of up to 12 pages per minute with a resolution of 1200dpi, (600×600), is produced. This makes for clear text definition, and a very good reproduction of photos and graphic images. Make sure to use Lexmark Optra m410 cartridge.
The Lexmark Optra M410 is provided out of the box with everything needed to get printing straight away. A 4MB memory should satisfy most needs, whilst compatibility with most operating systems, including Windows and Macs, is not an issue. Connectivity is wired, but does allow for USB connection, alongside parallel and serial ports. The printer also allows for printing on many forms of media. Obviously it allows for the standard sheets, envelopes and labels, but can also print to business cards and transparent sheets.
If the standard provisions are not enough, the memory can be increased to 132MB. The capacity itself can readily be upgraded too, allowing for the addition of an extra tray. Taking the total capacity up to 850 standard sheets, this should be more than enough in most day to day operations.
Installation of the ten thousand page yield Lexmark Optra m410 printer toner cartridge was also simplicity itself. This is not surprising, considering the user friendliness of the printer itself and the ease of operation it demonstrates right from the get go.
