Well if you have other PC's that you use you'll be very disappointed in this one.

Firstly the "netbook" computers are notoriously "underpowered". The only positive I see in this pc is that it comes with a minimun of 1G of RAM. Other than that the processor at 1.6GHz is basically slow, and it's FSB of 533MHz makes it even worse. This write up that you cut and pasted into this question doesn't even mention the FSB of the Motherboard! So that's a key number that is missing.

Other drawbacks: keyboard is smaller than even a 14" laptop, so typing is not going to be accommodating "smooth keystrokes" because you fingers will constantly be hitting the wrong keys.

The speakers will most likely be useless and in the 1W each category which is ok for computer beeps, etc. but not for music, vid's, etc.

The 3 cell battery will most likely be short lived without the charger plugged in. You didn't mention the OS. If it's Vista it is processor intensive and the 1.6 GHz is on the slower side of being efficient at running Vista and other processor intensive applications. This will shorten the life on the battery without the charger plugged in.

Overall the "netbooks" are losers. Yeah they're cheap but for a $100 or $200 more you can get a decent 14" laptop for browsing the web, etc.

Take a trip to Staples, Circuit City and take a long hard look at the netbooks before you purchase one. Try typing on it and see what you think.

I think overall if you get over your excitement of getting a "small" computer you'll come to the conclusion that the netbooks "aren't all that hot" (or practical). Shop, shop, shop on the Dell, HP, Toshiba, etc. sites and see what you can find for a deal on a 14" or 15". You might be surprised is you take your time and shop for a couple of weeks before you buy.

Hope this helps and give you some food for thought.
