Is there a way to tell how good and loud speakers on a home theater system will be when buying them online?

i’m shopping online, and i’m reading the reviews, but i see some skinny floor speakers that are part of a home theater system. is there a way to tell how good they would be without buying them?
they are name brand.
but they’re only about .00.
