Home theater projector cable question.?
I don’t know a whole lot about projectors, so I’m hoping someone has a suggestion for me. I recently bought a home theater projector. I have it conntected to my satellite receiver with an s-video cable and had it connected to my dvd/home theater system with a composite (yellow) video cable. I thought I’d try to get a little better picture quality from the DVD player, so I bought a component to VGA cable. (my projecter doesnt’ have component input). Now, whenever I use the DVD player, everything is mostly green. It also has a checkered line running along the top of the picture. When I turn on the cable receiver, the picture is just fine, so I know it’s not the projector. Anyone have any suggestions for what the problem could be? I’ve checked and re-checked the connections, and everything appears to be plugged in correctly. If I can’t figure it out, I guess I can go back to the composite cable, but I was told I can get a lot better quality out of component. Thanks.
My projector is an Epson PowerLite 835p – http://www.projectorcentral.com/Epson-PowerLite_835p.htm
