Yeah, really. These twats are all recommending plastic junk that you can get from Target or Amazon. FAIL.

In truth – even low-end speakers from companies that add them in (Sony, Phillips, Samsung, Onkyo) can do a decent job for home theater.

But Energy, Definitive and other REAL speaker companies do a much better job. I believe the Energy Take system starts about $500.

Also – a lot of name-brand speakers are available on places like CraigsList. Look for monitor-style with an external, self-powered subwoofer.

Onkyo is a great system…Make sure the Speaker wires are upgraded from the ones it comes with…I have a onkyo with 10 ga speaker wire,sounds great.

youre not going to find any good answers here on Y!A. especially when it comes to technology and home theater. just look at the answers being posted on the front page. you expect them to give you good suggestions?

the best thing for you to do is do real research on google.
