Effectiveness of Magellan GPS’s for Geocaching and Problems with Coordinates “getting stuck”?

I see that a lot of Garmins are recommended. What do you think about Magellan? We have a TomTom One at the moment, and the coordinates are not updating quick enough as we walk along. It seems to almost "get stuck". Has anyone else encountered this problem? We update from the internet at least 3x per week.
