I have an HTIB system. It came with 5.1. Sounds good for HTIB too. I also have a 12" Cerwin-Vega 4ohm (enclosed, for car use) hooked up to the subwoofer outlet (parallel) with the other HTIB woofer. They both work fine, producing good bass. The same can be done with the other speakers, if I so desired. The downfall is this, the more speakers connected, the hotter the system's amplifier will get, as it is using more power to generate sound. If your main system has the proper amperage output, hook your speakers up. Enjoy the sounds. But, keep track of heat generated, as this is a good "feel" gauge on the power consumption of the system's amplifier.
