Buying Wireless Printers with All-In-One Capability

Wireless Printers are now a hugely popular choice for printer buyers in many countries around the world. These feature rich printers allow the user to perform a multitude of tasks from the same machine. A large proportion of consumer electricals now come as multifunctional devices like the iPhone. Wireless printers have been around for a while now and make up a significant part of the whole printer market.

What is an all in one printer?

All in one encompasses all the functions that are provider by the printer and should be multifunction!! However read the small print, as this is not always the case as some come with only some of the functions. The following multifunctions are usually available for all in one printers:

Printer, Scanner, Copier, Fax

What constitutes wireless?

No cables for a start! The wireless revolution has been about making life easier by not trailing cables around offices or rooms. Easy setup and installation means time saving and in this day and age it’s very welcome. Wireless means it should be able to work across your wireless network, so you don’t need to have it attached via a cable, so it could sit at the other end of your office.

Many of the top brands in the printing business have jumped into this market. It is surprising to note that the market is still in its infancy and the range of printers is small. The Canon wireless printer range is by far the best selling wireless printer on the market at the moment, with the HPC4580 is not far behind. Big brands in printing are Dell, Lexmark and Epson.

Consider the follwoing points:

Wireless printers are only as good as your wireless connection and distance from the router. Sometimes you may lose the print job if the wireless connection drops.

Look out for extra features like Bluetooth and compatibility with PC and Mac.

A wireless printer server may be something to consider when converting an existing printer. You will need it to add that printer to the network. It works like a hub and allows a normal printer to connect to the network via a wireless printer adaptor
