Discovering Mafia Wars Job Mastery

When leveling up fast is your primary goal, concentrating on Mafia Wars jobs is an safe, solid strategy.  Fighting and robbing will get you leveling fast, too, but then you will have to deal with the consequences which can get extremely personal and a bit messy.  Jobs won’t result in a group of trigger-happy avengers the way that fighting and robbery can.

And jobs don’t only yield experience.  You’ll earn cash and loot that will help you balance your Mafia Wars profile, too.  The loot is frequently something that will enable you to equip your growing crew.  It could be a weapon, armor, or a vehicle in the loot drop.  Completing collections is accomplished through jobs, as well, because loot drops will sometimes have special items.  And naturally, jobs earn you a dollar amount that will help you buy income property that offsets your expenses, which makes jobs an overall balanced Mafia Wars profile development method.

Job and tier mastery will also get you those golden skill points.  And that’s key if you want to reinforce your profile.  Energy is the place to direct those points if you want to do mostly jobs and level that way.  If leveling isn’t your main priority, spreading those skill points into attack and defense and stamina is another choice.

The 1st job tier in Mafia Wars is Street thug, so let’s examine that for our discussion.  Each job tier is connected with a specific set of Mafia Wars levels.  At level 1 thru 4, Street Thug is the tier.  When you achieve level 100+, you’ll be, theoretically, ready to master the Boss tier in NYC Mafia Wars. These are the jobs for Street Thug Tier (with job ratio): Mugging (1); Corner Store Hold-Up (1); Warehouse Robbery (1); Auto Theft (1.14); Beat Up Rival Gangster (1); Rob A Pimp (1); Collect On A Loan (1).

That’s the initial group of jobs designed for you as a newbie.  You can proceed to the following tier before you’ve mastered each job in the tier 1x, but you can’t get all the mastery titles. In a nutshell, your current level and your mastery of the prior tier determines which tier you can work comfortably.  Jobs will increase in difficulty (prep jobs, consumables, crew required) and demand more energy input as you progress up the tiers toward Boss.

Getting back to our example, you’ll want to master each job in the Street Thug tier.  Get in the habit of choosing the best Mafia Wars jobs ratio now by picking Auto Theft!  You’ll do the Auto Theft job many times to master it.  You’ll see a blue bar that indicates how you’re progressing in mastering the job.  When you’ve mastered Auto Theft, it will be a solid blue bar.  Once you’ve mastered the individual job, you’ll get a skill point.

Do the same for all the jobs in the tier and you’ll have mastered the tier for the 1st time.  You receive  skill point and a title to place with your Mafia Wars name.  You are now “Street Thug YourMWName.”

Although you’ve mastered a tier, you ought to continue to work those jobs.  Certain jobs have especially yummy loot, cash, or experience yield.  You can do gravy jobs even when you’ve leveled out of the tier and achieved mastery of it.  Unless you need the .22 pistol, 9mm, or a Diamond card, Street Thug tier is a bit thin on sweet loot, but you understand my point about revisiting jobs.

If you take the trouble to master every job in the tier for a second time, you’ll get the 2nd cycle of mastery for Street Thug.  Get yourself a fancier title – Skilled Street Thug – another set of skill points, and a five percent increase in loot drops.

The 3rd time through mastery of Street Thug and you become “Master Street Thug,” with another set of skill points.  Add a ten percent bonue in those loot drops.  Additionally you get an experience bonus of five percent for all Street Thug jobs you complete following that 3rd mastery.

You’ll also get the bonus item for triple tier mastery.  In Street Thug tier, you’ll receive a Pistol Bayonet that increases the injury you deliver in a Mafia Wars fight by 4%.  Mastery bonus items are usually pretty excellent.

Consider this: Doing all NYC jobs to the 3rd level of mastery will result in two hundred nineteen skill points by the time you finish Boss in Mafia Wars!  Amazing!
